A Taste of Fall in Palo Alto

The CEO Family

Life these days for so many families is frenetic and busy. Our family is no stranger to this as one leading member is CEO of a private company. This brings with it long work days, six weeks of straight travel, and a very tired Mom and child and doggie. These are the days when it would be so easy to heat up a pizza or order quick and greasy take-out but I am determined to stay true to my Slow Food Passion and also fortunate enough to have amazing restaurants near to us in Silicon Valley. But this hasn't always been the case.

Some tips that I have learned for the hectic days:

-Stock up the fridge with as many healthy staples before significant other goes on trips
-Write out a list of dinner options for the week to prepare
-Don't be afraid to ask friends for help
-If you need to do takeout, It's Ok! WE all need breaks sometimes. Opt for healthier options though.
-Buy a rice cooker (upcoming post on this one) and a slow cooker!
-Once significant other comes back, treat yourself to a spa or massage break! And a drink!

Good luck!
